The Arizona Revised Statutes declare that any item given to the Governor on behalf of the State belongs to the State of Arizona. The Gifts to the Governor collection include gifts given to the State of Arizona from other states, foreign dignitaries, and from the people of Arizona over the last 100 years. Items in this collection date from the first Governor of Arizona, George W.P. Hunt, to Governor Janet Napolitano, the 21st Governor of Arizona.
