The Arizona Memory Project (AMP) helps researchers discover information related to the history and government of Arizona by providing access to primary sources in Arizona archives, museums, libraries, and other cultural institutions. Visitors to the site will find some of the best examples of government documents, photographs, maps, and multimedia that chronicle Arizona's past and present.

The items in the Arizona Memory Project represent only a small percentage of the materials held by contributing institutions. Please contact any of the contributors for more information about their collections.

This Arizona Memory Project is brought to you by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with funding from a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

 

Become a Contributor

The Arizona Memory Project is open to any Arizona cultural institution, business, or individual that is interested in making their digital holdings available online. Learn more about becoming a contributor.

 

Statement on Hurtful Content

The Arizona Memory Project contains a wide variety of historical content, which may represent hurtful beliefs and imagery that reflect the worldviews of its creators. Although such content does not reflect the values of the Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records, a Division of the Office of the Arizona Secretary of State, it has not been censored or sanitized to be anything less than what it is. Providing access to an accurate historical record allows researchers to analyze such records in the context of their original expression. The Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records, a Division of the Office of the Arizona Secretary of State condemns all forms of bigotry.

 

Request to Remove or Redact Content from AMP

The Arizona Memory Project endeavors to ensure that all content on the site has been vetted for copyright, provenance, privacy, and cultural sensitivity. 

Members of the public who believe particular content has fallen short of this standard may submit a Request to Redact, Delete, or Mark Content Offline.
